Commitment to community is an important responsibility for Dan Skoda. He served in senior campaign positions for the United Way, and as Chairman for the Chicago Central Area Committee, Greater State Street Council, Chicago Theatre, and State Street Commission. He has also served on the executive committee of the Chicago Loop Alliance and as a member of the Commercial Club and Chicago Chamber of Commerce.

Dan currently donates his time and airplane to provide free air transportation for health care patients and other compassionate needs under the "Mercy Flight" program. Furthermore, he volunteers as a "Young Eagles" flight leader and has given more than 400 children plane rides introducing them to the world of aviation and safety.
